Terms of Service

Last updated: August 19, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Kinse, the family caregiving app and related services operated by Kinse ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Kinse, you agree to these Terms.

The Kinse service

Kinse helps families and caregivers stay connected through:

  • Scheduled check-in calls with Cora, the voice on every call
  • Medication reminders and related caregiver tools
  • The Kinse app for schedules, summaries, and care-team coordination
  • Paid memberships for paid phone check-ins

Kinse supports account types for yourself, for a loved one, or both (hybrid).

Not medical care or emergency services

Kinse is not a medical provider, clinician, or emergency service. Cora does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or replace doctors, nurses, pharmacists, or emergency responders.

Do not use Kinse for emergencies. If someone may be in danger or needs urgent medical help, call local emergency services (such as 911 in the United States) immediately.

Medication reminders and check-ins are support tools only. You are responsible for medical decisions and for verifying that schedules and information in Kinse are accurate.

Your account

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

If you add a loved one or invite care-team members, you confirm you have permission to share their contact details and related information with Kinse and your care team.

You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live. Kinse is not intended for children under 13.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Kinse for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
  • Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours
  • Interfere with the service, security, or other users
  • Misrepresent your identity or relationship to a recipient
  • Use Kinse in a way that violates others' privacy or rights

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for others.

Phone check-ins and Cora

Kinse has three voice surfaces.

Public sample. The Home and Demo pages can play a prerecorded public sample check-in with Cora. It is not a live call and is not your loved one.

Signed-in web conversation. After you sign in, you can talk with Cora yourself in your browser for a short check-in. That session is not a phone call. We do not save a recording or a call summary from it.

Paid phone calls. After you choose a paid membership, check-in calls are placed to phone numbers you configure. Call availability depends on the person Kinse calls answering, network conditions, and correct contact information.

We store a transcript summary of those paid calls, not full recordings, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Billing and subscriptions

Kinse offers paid memberships. You can talk with Cora in the app on your device before you choose a plan in Billing when you want phone check-ins to start. Pricing and plan features are shown in the app and on our pricing page.

Payments are processed by our payment provider. By subscribing, you authorize charges according to your selected plan and billing interval.

You may cancel according to in-app billing controls and your subscription status. Billing terms, renewals, and failed payments are handled through the subscription system described in the app.

Unpaid accounts stay available so you can talk with Cora and keep saved schedules. Phone check-ins start after you complete checkout.

Enterprise and organizations

Kinse may offer Enterprise or business arrangements for organizations that enroll clients or manage teams with admin access. Enterprise terms may include separate agreements, invoicing, or usage limits. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, these Terms still apply.

Contact support@kinse.io for Enterprise questions.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. Health-related information is handled carefully; see Health Information & HIPAA for more detail.

Disclaimers

Kinse is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect call quality, or specific health outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Kinse and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars, except where law does not allow such limits.

Termination

You may stop using Kinse at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service with reasonable notice where practicable.

Sections that by nature should survive (such as disclaimers, limitations, and governing law) survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in courts or forums with appropriate jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
