Between your calls, Cora checks in on them

After each call, you see how they are, including which medications were taken, missed, or refused. If a call goes unanswered, or a medicine is missed or refused, you get an alert.

Kinse for a loved one is check-in conversations and medication reminders you set up for someone else. A check-in is a phone conversation with Cora, up to 10 minutes, one question at a time. It works with any phone, even a landline, and there is no app for them to download. You see a short summary after each call. You get an alert if a call goes unanswered or a medicine is missed or refused. Kinse is not 911.

How the calls work

  1. You set the schedule

You pick the days and times at your loved one's local time.

  2. They answer

Your loved one picks up the phone they already use. Save Kinse's number in their phone as Cora, so they know who is calling.

  3. Cora talks with them

A check-in is a phone conversation with Cora, up to 10 minutes. Cora asks one thing at a time and remembers what they shared before. Your loved one can skip any question.

Plans start at $29 a month for each person Kinse calls. Check-in calls and medication reminder calls use the same call minutes. Every plan covers check-ins, reminders, or both. See pricing

After the call

Your next call can start with their day.

The summary says whether Cora reached them, what they talked about, and how each medicine was answered. When you call, you can ask about the garden instead of the pills.

Common questions

What is Kinse for a loved one?
You add their phone number and local time, and Kinse calls them for check-ins and medication reminders. They answer any phone, even a landline, with no app to download. You see a short summary after each call. Save Kinse's number in their phone as Cora.
Does your loved one need a smartphone?
No. Kinse works with any phone, even a landline. Your loved one picks up like any other call, and there is no app to install.
How often can Kinse call?
You choose the days and times, and the calls use your plan's call minutes. Essentials is $29 a month per person, with 150 call minutes a month, about 35 a week. Everyday is $44 a month per person, with 220 call minutes, about 50 a week. Family is $54 a month per person, with 280 call minutes, about 65 a week. Check-in calls and medication reminder calls use the same call minutes. For example, Essentials covers a short check-in most days, or a daily medication reminder and a check-in every other day. If the minutes run out, medication reminders keep calling and check-ins pause until the minutes reset.
What if your loved one does not pick up?
Kinse tries once more. If Kinse still cannot reach them, you get an alert. You decide the next step, like calling them yourself or asking a neighbor to check.
Can I invite my siblings later?
Yes. Start with one person Kinse calls, and invite a sibling when you are ready. You choose who can change the schedule and who can only read.
When do the calls start?
Kinse starts calling after you add their phone number, local time, and schedule, and choose a plan. Before that, you can hear a sample call, or talk with Cora yourself with a free account.
